Samsung has added a new smartphone model to its Galaxy A-series by launching the Galaxy A12 smartphone in India. The new handset debuted in Europe back in November 2020 alongside the Samsung Galaxy A02s. The smartphone is a successor to Samsung Galaxy A11 that the company had launched last year. Speaking of the key highlights of the newly-launched Galaxy phone, there’s a quad rear camera setup along with a waterdrop-style display notch. The phone comes with 15W fast charging and offers up to 128GB of onboard storage. Additionally, the Galaxy A12 phone will be available in three distinct color options. The new Samsung Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT Infinity-V display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Galaxy A12 phone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and runs Android 10 with One UI Core 2.5 on top. The chipset is coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. Storage options include a 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Further, users can expand it up to TB via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the dual-SIM (Nano) Galaxy A12 comes with a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The other three cameras include a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calling. Furthermore, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Pricing, Availability, and Launch Offers
For pricing, the 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant of the Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a price tag of ₹12,999 in India. The other 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option carries a price tag of ₹13,999. Leke said before, the smartphone comes in three distinct color options — Black, Blue, and White. It will be available for purchase on Samsung.com and other leading online and offline portals or stores from February 17.
Samsung is also providing launch offers on this new phone for Jio customers. These include an instant cashback worth ₹3,000 on prepaid recharge of ₹349 plan and ₹4,000 worth vouchers from partners. There’s an offer for Vi customers too, which includes double data benefits on the ₹299 recharge for the first three months. Also, the phone has zero down payment EMI offers.
