Asus Rog Phone 5 Global Launch Set for March 10, Phonemaker Confirms

Last month, a leaked image on Weibo revealed a successor of Asus ROG Phone 3, which we speculated to be the ROG Phone 5. Now, Asus has confirmed that it’ll indeed be the ROG Phone 5 and will launch on March 10. The company, as expected, has skipped the number “4” moniker because its pronunciation in Chinese resembles the word “death”. To remind you, the ROG Phone 3 was launched by the company back in July 2020.

The upcoming ROG Phone 5 has appeared on the company’s official website through a dedicated landing page. However, the phone maker didn’t share any information on the specifications. But since the phone will be a flagship, we speculate that it’ll feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Further, a recent bleak by a known tipster had revealed that the handset will launch in India sometime in March. Notably, this leak falls in line with the official launch date of March 10.

Asus ROG Phone 5 Global Launch Details

The page has a timer running for the launch date, which as per the India Standard Time (IST) is 4:30 pm IST on March 10. As said before, there’s no information available on the phone specs, but there’s the presence of an RGB ROG logo on the phone.
