GeForce GTX 1660 – Nvidia Bringing it Soon in India

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Soon Launching in India

Nvidia chose a very weird naming convention for their graphics cards. After GTX 10 series Nvidia brought the RTX 20 series. And after that Nvidia brought GeForce GTX 16 series. Now keeping this weird naming convention aside let’s talk about today’s hot topic – Nvidia will bring their GeForce GTX 1660 soon in India. The prices are also revealed.

Pricing of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660

According to sources, Nvidia will release GeForce GTX 1060 in India on 14th March. The price will start from Rs. 21,500. There will be a Founders Edition from companies like AsusZotac and MSI. Each of these companies will be having their own pricing starting at Rs. 21,500. It will be available at both online and offline retails.

Features of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660

According to Nvidia GTX 1660 will be 130% faster than the GTX 960 and 35% faster than the GTX 1060 3GB at 1080p. If these test results are true in real world then an upgrade to GTX 1660 will be a decent option.

GTX 1660 uses the same Turing architecture technology found in GTX 1660 Ti. This will enable GTX 1660 to have all kind of Nvidia features like AnselGameStream, GeForce Experience, HighlightsShadowPlay, Adaptive Shading technology, and more.

According to some people, GeForce RTX-20 series was high-priced models aimed for high end use. The raytracing technology was not of any use for people doing video editing and casual gaming. So to cut down the price a bit Nvidia launched RTX 2060 in CES 2019. Eventually, that was not enough to attract mid-tier users. That is why Nvidia launched the GTX 16 series graphics card.

Nvidia did not manufacture GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, GTX 1080, GTX 1070 Ti, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 for the last quarter and has now run out of stock for those graphics cards. It is most unlikely that Nvidia will bring new units of these graphics card in the market.
