About Sony’s PS Vita

Sony PS Vita started its journey from Japan in 2011; about eight years from now. During that time, PS Vita faced tough competition from the Nintendo; another contender in the Wii controllers category.

The Nintendo faced a downfall during its initial years; but then in 2016 faced a high-rise with the release of Nintendo Switch.

With time, Sony stopped focussing on PS Vita. Moreover, shifted their focus on upgraded versions like PS4, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro.

Sony’s decision of ending PS Vita production is not a surprise; because Sony’s senior Executive already mentioned about their decision much before.

With the termination of PS Vita, Sony can now focus more on Play Station Plus. Its cloud gaming services, which is easily accessible by using different PS Consoles.
