Mi Play Smartphones Offer Free Mobile Data!
Yesterday, on December 24, 2018, Xiaomi released their latest smartphone, Mi Play, in China for RMB 1099. Xiaomi announced that every Mi Play smartphone sold will come with a SIM card which will offer a free and unlimited data package for one year. With this data pack, you will get 10 GB of 4G high-speed data every month. This will allow the users to stay connected 24/7 without any additional charges.
Xiaomi obtained an MVNO(mobile virtual network operator) commercial license from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in July this year. This took Xiaomi to participate in a nationwide MVNO trial program for three years.
Features of Mi Play:-
Mi Play is powered by MediaTek P35 SoC, which is built on 12nm octa-core processor(Arm Cortex A53 Cores). The maximum clock speed of this processor is 2.3GHz. It has only one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. On the back, MI Play has a 12MP + 2MP AI dual camera setup, with the main sensor featuring 1.25-micrometre large pixels for good image quality. The front camera has AI Beautify and AI portrait mode.
Coming to the screen this phone has a 5.84-inch FHD+ (1080X22800 pixels) display with 19:9 Aspect Ratio. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen. The compact design, along with a total weight of just 150g, makes this phone ideal for one-hand use.
This smartphone also offers a 3000mAh battery, rear fingerprint sensor, two SIM card slots and a dedicated microSD card slot.

In the launching event of this smartphone, Xiaomi successfully broke a Guinness World Record. They created an 8-meter-tall Christmas Tree shaped mobile phone mosaic that contained 1005 Mi Smartphone.
