Google Launchpad Accelerator opens Applications in India

Google Launchpad Accelerator Phase II Application

Google today opened applications for next class(class II) of its launchpad accelerator in India. This programme promises to support AI/ML startups in India. This programme will also mentor such startups. In a statement, Google said that the last date for applying to this programme is January 31st, 2019. The list of selected startups will be announced in February 2019.

Under this programme, startups using AI/ML in India which solve India’s needs will undergo an intensive in-person mentorship boot-camp, followed by support for three months.

According to Google, the startups need to complete some criteria to be able to be a part of this programme.

  1. The startup needs to be a technology startup.
  2. The startup needs to be based in India.
  3. Google will prefer those internships which will be able to raise seed funding.
  4. The startups need to address a challenge specific to India.
  5. The startups need to use AI/ML to power the solution.

This Launchpad Accelerator Programme will have several classes for startups. Each class will consist of up to 10 startups. These startups will get Google AI/ML, Cloud, UX, Android, Web, Product strategy and Marketing Support. According to Google, these startups will also receive Google cloud credits from $20K – going up to $100K each.
