ASUS TUF Laptops Launched in CES 2019

CES 2019: ASUS TUF Laptops Launched

In CES 2019, ASUS unveiled their new TUF range of laptops. Though nothing has seemingly changed from outside in these laptops, under the hoods, there are some serious upgrades. AMD’s Ryzen 2 3550H APU and Radeon RX 560X discrete graphics power both the new 15.6-inch and 17-inch version of TUF laptop. With this release of TUF laptops, ASUS went with AMD components instead of Intel and NVIDIA components that they boasted last year. ASUS had introduced the previous range of TUF gaming laptops in CES 2018, and the laptops were released in India in November 2018. We expect a quicker release of these laptops in India in 2019.

Along with TUF laptops, ASUS also unveiled new models of its ZenBook series, a new StudioBook S professional laptop and the new Chrome OS machines.

Features of ASUS TUF Laptops

Thanks to the new AMD chipset, now the new TUF laptops have full-HD FreeSync displays. The refresh rate of the display of the 17-inch laptop and 15.6-inch laptop are 60Hz and 120Hz respectively.

The new TUF laptops have RGB backlit keyboards with WASD keycap design. These keyboards boast an Overstroke technology. ASUS claims that these keyboards can register keystrokes faster than an average keyboard.

As the name suggests, the TUF laptops can function under ‘extreme conditions.’ The laptops of this series boast a MIL-STD-810G military-grade build and can survive accidental drops. It can survive such drops which can totally destroy other laptops.

If we have a look at the other specs, the TUF series laptops, feature 7.1-channel virtual surround sound, a 512GB PCIe SSD or a 1TB FireCuda SSHD, up to 32GB RAM, HDMI 2.0 support, etc.

Though ASUS has unveiled these TUF series laptops, the prices are still unknown. Anyways, we can expect these laptops will be available in the international market within this quarter of the year.
