After months of rumors and tips, Samsung Galaxy M12 has finally been launched as the successor of Galaxy M11 that debuted in March last year. The smartphone features quad rear cameras, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a water-drop notch display, and a large 6,000mAh battery. The new handset also comes with an all-new metallic back featuring soft-curved edges and micro motifs for a better grip in hand. Here’s what the new Galaxy handset brings forth for Samsung fans.
Samsung Galaxy M12 Specs, Features
The Samsung Galaxy M12 is a dual-SIM (Nano) handset that runs on Android with Samsung’s One UI Core on top. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT Infinity-V display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 720×1,600 pixels resolution. Reportedly, the phone carries an octa-core Exynos 850 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 12GB of onboard storage. For optics, there is a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, 5MP secondary sensor, 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera for taking portraits and video calling.
For storage, the Samsung Galaxy M12 comes with three RAM options and three onboard storage options. The smartphone has 3GB RAM, 4GB RAM, and 6GB RAM options, as well as, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB onboard storage options. Notably, all of these are expandable via a dedicated MicroSD slot with up to 1TB. Apart from this, the connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Further, and as said before, the phone packs a 6,000mAh battery that can deliver up to 58 hours of talk time on a 4G network, boasts the company.
Currently, Samsung hasn’t revealed the price of the Galaxy M12, though the company has listed the phone on its Vietnam site, per tipster Evan Blass’s post on Twitter. As per the listing, this phone will be available in Attractive Black, Elegant Blue, and Trendy Emerald Green colors.
