Last week, we saw design renders and specs of the Vivo S9 leak on Weibo. The phone will reportedly debut on March 6. But now its offshoot — the Vivo S9e — has reportedly been leaked by a tipster named Arsenal (translated), revealing key specifications and price of the phone. However, the tipster didn’t say anything about the upcoming smartphone’s launch date. The Vivo S9e is tipped to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC and will reportedly pack a 4,100mAh battery. Notably, it is slightly larger than the 4,000mAh of the Vivo S9.
Vivo S9e Specs, Features (Expected)
The Vivo S9e, as claimed, will sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel will have a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera. As aforementioned, the upcoming work-in-progress smartphone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Further, the handset will pack a 4,100mAh battery with support for 33W flash charging.
In terms of optics, the tipster claims that the upcoming Vivo S9e may come with a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP ultra-wide-angle primary sensor. At the front, there will be a 32MP Samsung GD1 sensor present in a waterdrop-style notch.
Pricing and Availability (Expected)
As per the tipster, the upcoming Vivo S9e will have two storage variants — an 8GB RAM + 128GB model and an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 8GB + 128GB storage option may carry a price tag of CNY 2,298 (roughly ₹25,700). The other one, ie. the 8GB + 256GB storage model will have a price tag of CNY 2,598 (roughly 29,000). Like said before, there is currently no information on the launch date, but we expect to hear more about it in the coming days. We think that Vivo may launch both these phones on March 6, but this is just an assumption.
