Mi 10 Ultra is the successor to Xiaomi flagship Mi 10 Pro, with bumped up specifications; becomes the first phone to sport 120W fast charging.
With leaks and rumors being proven true, Xiaomi has announced another phone to its flagship lineup. The phone marks the 10th anniversary of Xiaomi and packs in the most they have ever put in a device. Rumored to be named as the Mi 10 Pro+, the Mi 10 Ultra sports incredibly fast 120W charging, 120x zoom, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865.
Specs and Features of Mi 10 Ultra
Display
The Mi 10 Ultra resembles most flagships of today, carrying a super sleek glass sandwich design. A 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution, just like the Mi 10 Pro beams at the front. The difference being the 120Hz, up from 90Hz, and possibly a brighter panel too. The display boasts of HDR10+ certification, a punch-hole design, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Internal Hardware
The Mi 10 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset, which isn’t the latest one. We are honestly surprised to not see the 865+ in a device of this stature. Nonetheless, with up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, we expect the phone to be plenty fast. Lastly, the phone runs on the latest MIUI12 on top of Android 10.
Cameras
The highlight of the Mi 10 Ultra, yes you guessed it right – are its cameras. In its quad-camera setup, the Mi 10 sports a 48MP primary sensor with OIS and EIS, which is even larger than the 108MP sensor found on the Mi 10 Pro. Complementing it is a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 128-degree FOV and macro capabilities. To zoom in, you get a 12-megapixel 2x Zoom lens for portraits and an insane periscope lens with 10x optical and 120x digital zoom. To reiterate, the Mi 10 Ultra snatches the top spot on DxOmark from the Huawei P40 Pro, scoring 130 points.
Battery and Charging
Another feature making this phone so special is the support for super-fast 120W fast charging! It is the first phone to come out with such an insane charging technology, and ships with the 120W charger in the box. This charger can fully charge the phone’s 4500mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 23 minutes. The phone also takes up wireless charging standards, supporting wireless charging at speeds of 50W.
It is worth noting that Xiaomi also showed off a 20W smart charging pad and a 100W car charger for the phone. The smart charging pad can detect up to 2 devices placed anywhere on the surface and charge them. RIP AirPower!
