Nokia Launches its New Phones in India, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 2018

Nokia has launched its 2018 lineup of phones in India today. The additions to Nokia family in India includes the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 6. The company seems to get the pricing right this time. All the models are fairly priced.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at Rs 49,999 and it will be up for pre-orders starting April 20 from Flipkart. The device will go on sale starting April 30. The Nokia 7 Plus costs Rs 25,999 and can be pre-booked via Amazon from April 20. The device will be available to purchase starting April 30. The new Nokia 6 2018 is priced at Rs 16,999 and will go on sale offline from Nokia’s offline partners and also via Nokia’s online store from April 6. The Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available in Black colour while the Nokia 7 Plus will sport Black Copper and White Copper colour options. The Nokia 6 2018 comes in Blue Gold, Black and Silver White variants.

Nokia has partnered with Airtel to give some great launch offers to its consumers. Buying the Nokia 8 Sirocco will get customers an additional overall data benefit of 120GB. Airtel Prepaid customers will receive an additional 20GB data per month on first 6 recharges of Rs 199 or Rs 349 while Airtel Postpaid customers will get 20GB per month on Rs 399 or Rs 499 plan for six months. On Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6, Airtel customers can get Rs 2,000 cashback. Customers can buy all the Nokia smartphones with Zero cost EMI on credit cards.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is a glass sandwich and is protected by Corning’s Gorilla glass 5. Nokia says the glass covers about 95 percent of the phone. The smartphone runs on the Android One program and as expected offers a clean Android experience. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6 GB ram and 128 GB onboard storage. It features a 5.5-inch QHD POLED display along with being IP67 dust and water resistant. The rear of the phone sports a dual camera setup with 12MP + 13MP sensors. The main camera is a wide angle lens complemented by a 13MP telephoto lens. All the hardware is powered up by a 3260 mAh battery.

The Nokia 7 Plus features a 6-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB of ram. On the rear, it sports a 12MP wide -angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. The front shooter is the 16MP lens. It comes with a 3800 mAh battery.

The new Nokia 6 2018 features a 5.5 inch full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 3GB of ram. It sports a single camera on the rear unlike the other two devices launched. The rear camera is a 16MP shooter while the front camera is an 8MP shooter. All this hardware is powered by a 3000 mAh battery.

The smartphones come with a pure stock version of Android based on Oreo. The phones also feature the new bothie feature. This new feature allows users to capture picture from both cameras at the same time. The newly launched Nokia phones shall be able to give tough competition to their peers in the mobile market. As all the new Phones are pretty much aggressively priced.
